Week of May 18

Yearbooks are in!  Students who preordered a yearbook received their copy during lunch last Friday or today. If your student did not preorder a yearbook, but you would like one, we have approximately 30 for sale in the main office. They are $40 cash or check.  Don’t delay.  They’ll be gone in two shakes of a lamb’s tail. Leftover yearbooks are first come, first served.

We are participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge for Mental Health May.  The LMS Hope Squad is coordinating this activity to show students everyone matters and that help is there for anyone who needs it. Mr. Miller took the leap in the first year.  Social studies is up this week.  Who will it be?

Our 6th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Wyoming Prevention Needs Assessment on Thursday.  The PNA gathers information from Wyoming young people about their substance use, mental health, and wellness to help schools, administrators, and policy makers better understand the young people in their communities.  You can view a sample survey by clicking here.  If you do not want your student to participate in the survey, please complete this opt out form and return it to the school.  Copies of the opt out form and a copy of the sample survey can also be found in the LMS attendance office.

We are transitioning from Remind to ParentSquare starting in the 2026-2027 school year.  ParentSquare purchased Remind so we will not be able to use it after this summer.  For the remainder of this school year, we will send out the community communication through both Remind and ParentSquare. Since ParentSquare syncs with PowerSchool like Remind does, you can download the app or go to the ParentSquare website to claim your account.  We hope that by starting this transition early, everyone will be connected to ParentSquare when we start school next August. Please visit this link to learn more about ParentSquare.

We’re not going to let a little snow make us frosty.  We are rocking and rolling into the last part of this school season. Thank you for your continued support and feedback.  Make it a great week.
