The last week of this school season is here and we’re celebrating the end of the year with a final spirit week. Monday is Camp Out Day, Tuesday is Toes Out Day (wear sandals) and Wednesday is Tropical Day so rock your best tropical shirt. We have a lot of things left to do in the short time remaining, so it’s important that your student continues to attend and do their best.
Students will have an opportunity to clean out their lockers on Tuesday during 3rd period. At that time they can dispose of any unwanted items at this time or donate supplies they no longer need or want. Students should take everything from their lockers home with them on Tuesday after school.
The LMS Parent Advisory Committee is sponsoring the 8th grade Ice Cream Social at 2:30 on Tuesday. This is a casual event that provides the opportunity for our 8th graders to reflect on their middle school careers, celebrate their accomplishments, and look forward to their transition to LHS. This is an event for LMS students only. Students will be dismissed from their 7th period classes to the cafeteria for the ice cream social and dismissed at 3:05 from the cafeteria to head home. Congratulations 8th graders!
Wednesday is an early release day. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 and must be off campus by 11:45. Students will be in their S4S classes all day on Wednesday and we will be outside most of the day participating in field day. Students should dress appropriately for the weather and bring a hat, water bottle, and sunscreen. In the event of inclement weather, students will participate in indoor activities with their S4S classes. Breakfast will be served on Wednesday morning, but lunch will not be served.
Students have until 11:30 on Wednesday to submit any missing work. Tuesday is the last day for Scout Learning Lab and the late bus. Please check your students’ grades and make sure they have submitted all of their assignments. Work for credit will not be accepted after 11:30 on Wednesday.
If your student has not returned their Chromebook and/or charger, they need to do so by 11:30 on Wednesday. The technology department will assess student devices for damage and contact families if any fines are assessed. Freshmen will receive a new device from LHS next year and rising 7th and 8th graders will get the devices they used this year back in the fall. Replacement costs for Chromebooks and chargers will be added to students’ accounts if they are not returned.
We are transitioning from Remind to ParentSquare starting in the 2026-2027 school year. ParentSquare purchased Remind so we will not be able to use it after this summer. For the remainder of this school year, we will send out the community communication through both Remind and ParentSquare.
