The 41st Annual Hapi-ness 5K is Saturday, May 9th at 8:00 am. The Hapi-ness was started to honor Hapi Patterson, a Laramie Junior High student who was fighting cancer. Each year the proceeds from the Hapi-ness are used to support families in need. This year’s race will support Brody Bowlds, an 8th grade student who is battling acute myeloid leukemia. We will begin WYTOPP testing next week. All students will take the reading test on Tuesday, April 21st. Seventh grade students will take the writing test on Wednesday, April 22nd and eighth grade students will take the science test that day as well. All students will take the math test on Tuesday, April 28th. In order to accommodate testing, we will follow a modified bell schedule on testing days. Students will test in their S4S classes and should report directly to S4S on testing days. Please use this link to review the bell schedule for testing. We ask that families do everything in their power to have students at school during testing. It is important that students come with their Chromebooks charged and ready to give their best effort. The results are very helpful for our school as we seek to continuously improve.
We are celebrating our Battle of the Books team. Last week they were victorious in the county competition. These students worked very hard during lunch and outside of school to prepare for their competition and we are very proud of their efforts. Way to go Scouts!
