Week of February 4

Last Friday we recognized students who made the first semester honor roll and we are happy to report there was a lot to celebrate. In the 6th grade, 50 students made the 3.5 honor roll and 46 earned 4.0 recognition.  Seventy-six seventh graders earned 3.5 recognition and seventy-one students made a 4.0.  In the 8th grade, 80 students made the 3.5 honor roll and 57 students made a 4.0.  Overall, 49% of LMS students were on the first semester honor roll!

We are so proud of all of our honor roll students.  A special thank you to First Interstate Bank and the LMS PTO for assisting with the recognition.  All honor roll students received a sticker, recognition letter, and a tasty treat courtesy of the PTO.  First Interstate Bank donated funds so that honor roll students had a chance to win $1, $5, or $25.   Thank you to our families for supporting their students as well.  They couldn't have done it without you.

Upcoming 7th and 8th grade students (this year's 6th and 7th graders) will be reviewing the registration process in their social studies classes and receiving their registration cards for next year.  Registration cards are due in the main office on Wednesday, February 6th.  Information on the registration process, registration cards, and the curriculum guide can be found on the LMS website.  Upcoming freshman (this year's 8th graders) will have the opportunity to learn about high school registration during an informational night scheduled for February 18th. More information on high school registration will be shared as it becomes available.
