Twelve week progress reports were mailed out last Friday. Please review these with your student and identify areas of celebration and any areas of focus for the final six week push until the end of the school year. Scout Learning Lab (SLL) is available after school Monday-Thursday for students who need extra time and support to demonstrate their learning. Students make arrangements with their teachers to stay for SLL and teachers will be reaching out to families as well. A late bus is available at 4:00.
WYTOPP testing will conclude this week for most students. Our schedule this week will be all, odd, even, all, all, with testing occurring on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please help your student do their best on WYTOPP by being well rested and bringing their Chromebook fully charged. Make up testing will occur up until the end of the testing window on May 7th.
The 36th annual Hapi-ness 5k will be held on Saturday, May 8th at 9:00. Registration and sign up will begin at 8:00 am. In order to receive a race t-shirt, participants must register by April 29th. The race is open to runners and walkers of all abilities. The Hapi-ness 5K was founded in 1987 by the LMS ninth grade class in memory of their classmate Hapi Patterson who passed away due to leukemia. Since then numerous families have received help with their medical bills as a result of the Hapi-ness 5K. This year's proceeds will help families and individuals in need in our community.
