Week of March 23

Break out your dancing shoes!  The Spring Dance is next Tuesday, March 31st from 3:05-5:00 in the main gym.  All LMS students not serving ISS or OSS on the 31st are encouraged to attend.  Admission is $5.00 and concessions will be available.  Students attending the dance cannot ride the late bus and must be picked up by 5:15. We hope to see all Scouts at the dance.

Scout Learning Lab (SLL) is a time for students to get additional time and support in order to demonstrate their learning.  SLL is generally held after school until 4:00 Monday-Thursdays.  Occasionally we host SLL on Saturday from 8:00-11:00.  All teachers are generally available from 3:05-3:30 and students can work in a study hall setting from 3:30-4:00 when the late buses arrive.  Please use this link to provide us with feedback on SLL.  We will use this feedback to improve our programming.

Our last athletic season of the year is about to get underway with the start of track.  Seventh and eighth grade students are eligible to participate in track.  Practice is held every day after school at the Laramie Athletic Field.  Students must have a current athletic physical and a signed code of conduct on file in order to participate.  Practice begins on Monday, April 6th and there is an informational meeting for families on Tuesday at 5:00 pm in the LMS cafeteria.

We are fortunate to have many great employees at LMS and it truly takes everyone to support students and make a school year successful.  Each year we recognize a building Teacher of the Year and a building Difference Maker of the Year.  All certified staff members such as teachers, counselors, and related service providers are eligible to be nominated for Teacher of the Year.  All classified staff such as paraeducators, administrative assistants, and custodians are eligible to be Nominated for Difference Maker of the Year.  Please use the links below to nominate one or more deserving candidates by 3:30 on 3/27/26.  Building level winners will be considered for ACDS1 Teacher and Difference Maker of the Year.

Spring weather in Wyoming is entirely unpredictable.  On the colder days, please make sure your student is still dressed for winter weather and on the days where the sun makes an appearance, please make sure that shorts, shirts, and other attire provides appropriate coverage for the school setting.  Let’s continue to work together to make the 4th quarter of this school season successful.  Make it a great week!
